Mario Robau (USA)
He needs no introduction, but just in case……
We are pleased to welcome back to Poland Mario “Swing Daddy” Robau, he started dancing at the age of sixteen.
He won the Southwest Regional title for the first time at the age of seventeen and began teaching professionally in 1986.
For the last twenty five years, Mario has traveled at least 40 weekends per year judging, teaching, deejaying, and emceeing at various dance workshops and conventions throughout the world in the swing, country western, and shag dance circuits.
Mario’s Competitive credentials include:
- 2 time U.S. Open Classic swing dance champion
- U.S. Open Team Champion and co-choreographer
- 10 time Dallas Dance champion
- 6 time Southwest Regional champion
- 10 time Texas State champion
- 10+ City Houston Championships; undefeated slow whip champion

- 2 time Phoenix Jack and Jill Champion
- Dallas Dance Hall of Fame
- Youngest person inducted into Swing Dance Hall of Fame

Gary McIntyre & Susan Kirklin (USA)
Prior to dancing together, Gary was a multi-time UCWDC World Champion and toured as a dance captain for the Original Broadway Show Swing. He was a choreographer for the Academy Award winning film Brokeback Mountain, the dance double to the lead actor in Love ‘n Dancing and also appeared as a dancer in the Jennifer Lopez/Richard Gere version of Shall We Dance.
Susan was a U.S. Swing and Cabaret Champion. Together they are unique that they compete and have been successful on three separate circuits: Country, Ballroom, and West Coast Swing. They are World Professional Smooth Finalists, UCWDC Classic Masters World Champions, Classic and Showcase Swing Champions, and U.S. Open Swing Cabaret Champions.

Kevin Town & Aggie Town (UK/Poland)
Either way Kevin and Aggie are one of the UK’s hottest new teaching couples in West Coast Swing. Multiple Champions in Modern Jive (a popular social dance in the UK) and successful competitors in the Rising Star division throughout Europe, they bring oodles of knowledge, charisma, experience, a slim laptop called Larry and lots of fun to every lesson.
Together they’re traveling the West Coast Swing circuit sharing their knowledge and 4th Place Rising Star US OPEN routine.

Stephen White & Sonya Dessureault (USA)
Stephen White is a Swing Professional currently competing at the Champion level. Calling no one place home, he travels around the world instructing, choreographing, competing, and performing. The palest working man in the Swing world, he’s known for a quirky wit, fun workshops, and an avid love of social dancing! Please make sure he avoids excess sunlight.
Sonya Dessureault hails from Montreal, Quebec, Canada (not to be confused with the rest of Canada, or France). With a background in teaching Salsa and Latin street dance for 7 years, she brings a unique flavor to her West Coast. Versed extensively in Modern, Hip hop, Jazz, Classical, Etc, she is also fluent in 5 different languages. That means she can teach you many dances, in many ways, in many tongues! She can even translate the “southern” that Stephen tends to speak.
Together they’re traveling the world and the Swing circuit, excited to share their new piece “Hate you, Love you” which recently took top 6 at the US Open as their debut transitioning from Showcase and into the Classic division!

Wayne Powell & Agnieszka Dzierwa (UK & Poland) your Event Directors
Agnieszka Dzierwa ‘Aggi’
She is the owner of the biggest dance school in Gdańsk – Dance Fusion where she has weekly WCS and advanced salsa classes. Aggi, has been teaching since 2001, continuously improving with the best instructors in the country and abroad. She has reached a high level, both as a dancer and teacher. She is known for her very soft, feminine way of dancing and her effective teaching talent.
As a choreographer she’s inspired by a number of dance techniques, such as jazz, contemporary or street dance. In the years 2007/2008 she trained in one of the best dance schools in the world – London’s Pineapple with jazz and classical techniques then entered these elements into her choreographies. From 2010 she has been dancing and promoting West Coast Swing in the Tri-City area and has an impressive list of wins and placings in WSDC Competitions. Agnieszka is the first WCS female teacher in Northern Poland and now competes at Advanced level.
Wayne was a PTI (Physical Training Instructor) and personal trainer for 12 years. He seriously took up dancing 10 years ago, when he began to dance and teach jive with other teachers of this style in the South-east of England in the county of Oxfordshire.
He took part in his first West Coast Swing workshop with Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Molman, the most famous teachers of this style. Since then, he participated in multiple WCS competitions and festivals in Europe and the United States learning from the best instructors and dancers including Kyle Redd & Sarah Vann Drake, John Lindo & Jessica Cox and Parker Dearborn & Jennifer DeLuca.
Wayne currently competes at Advanced level and teaches with his partner Agnieszka Dzierwa in Poland, sharing their passion to encourage new people to get to know this extraordinary dance.
